Description
A revolutionary, lightweight serum containing two natural alpha hydroxy acids—glycolic and lactic. Gentle, oil free and water-based, AHA Accelerator prepares the skin for chemical and surgical procedures and extends their effects. Additionally, AHA Accelerator is great for the treatment of acne, photo-aged skin and hyperpigmentation.

Directions
Apply 4–6 drops of GlyMed Plus AHA Accelerator to entire face and neck. Massage remaining product into the back of your hands or lightly saturate a cotton pad and apply as an after-cleanser toner. Follow home-care directions with other GlyMed Plus products. Daytime regimen must include a GlyMed Plus sunscreen to avoid an increase in sun sensitivity.
Key Ingredients
Glycolic Acid: An alpha hydroxy acid used in chemical peels and to treat acne-prone and dry skin conditions. Visibly reduces pores and wrinkles as it removes lesions and surface dryness.
Lactic Acid: An alpha hydroxy acid that diminishes the cohesion of the surface skin cells and subsequently, prevents the thickening of the stratum corneum. Lactic acid is absorbed across the stratum corneum and assists in cell detachment from that level. The resulting smoothness and flexibility of the skin’s surface is evident soon after application.
Aloe Vera Leaf Juice: One of the oldest medicinal plants known, aloe vera is a natural astringent, aids in burn healing and is extremely soothing and protective to the skin.
Sage Leaf Extract: This botanical extract has superb antiseptic, astringent and antioxidant qualities, which helps prevent oxidative stress and premature aging.
Green Tea Extract: Green tea extract contains polyphenols, a class of bioflavanoids which are high in antioxidants. Green tea is also an effective antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent.

Q: Why is this product called Accelerator?
A: AHA Accelerator has two ingredients in the alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) family: glycolic and lactic. AHAs are known to stimulate the epidermal cell turnover that occurs daily in young healthy skin. With age, this process decreases leaving skin with a coarse texture and loss of vitality. The glycolic acid works more quickly but the lactic results in less irritation leaving AHA Accelerator a great choice for all levels of aging skin.
Q: When I used AHA Accelerator my skin tingled and was red. Am I allergic or too sensitive for this product?
A: Typically redness and tingling is a normal reaction of alpha hydroxy acids and an indication that your skin is feeling it going to work. Usually as the skin adjusts, these conditions subside. However, if you are concerned, a good idea is to begin application gradually beginning with once every second or third day for two weeks working up to daily.
Q: I heard the alpha hydroxy acids make my skin more sensitive to the sun. Are they safe?
A: It is true that like retinols, salicylic acid and a myriad of ingredients and medications, AHAs do create sun sensitivities. That is why your GlyMed Plus skin care professional will always require that you use a minimum SPF 15 with necessary re-application throughout the day.
